Opening Balances — QuickBooks cutover
One-time import of each account's starting balance from QuickBooks' final balance sheet. Enter amounts as they appear in QB (all positive). Opening Balance Equity is the balancing plug — if QB tied out, it lands at $0.
One-time only — becomes the system of record after this (no ongoing QuickBooks sync). Re-posting replaces the prior opening entry.
